摘要

A CFD simulation accompanied with the detailed chemistry has been applied to analyze the effects of intake oxygen temperature on engine performance characteristics in an HSDI diesel engine under oxy-fuel combustion. The model has been firstly validated with experimental data achieved from a high speed direct injection diesel engine. The simulation has been carried out at five different intake charge temperatures (140°C, 160°C, 180°C, 200°C, and 220°C). It was found that the implementation of oxy-fuel HCCI combustion must be accompanied by an accurate intake temperature adjustment. Increasing intake charge temperature results in advancing the start of combustion along with a shorter main combustion stage which results in a reduction of IMEP and an increase of ISFC while decreasing intake charge temperature affects the combustion stability and leads to incomplete combustion.
