摘要
Good water management is the key to ensure the performance of fuel cell. Therefore, in order to find the optimal conditions for removing excess liquid water and understand the basic mechanism of liquid water transport in the channel, it is necessary to investigate the dynamic characteristics of liquid water droplets from the surface of the gas diffusion layer (GDL). In this study, a visualization experiment platform was built to explore the effects of the height of the flow channel, the wettability of the GDL surface and the gas velocity on the dynamic characteristics of the droplet growth process on the GDL surface by ex-situ research. It is concluded that the process of liquid water growing into droplets on the surface of GDL can be divided into three stages. At low gas velocity, liquid water gathers to form slug flow and block the mass transfer channel; at high gas velocity, liquid water forms droplets and detaches from the surface of GDL. This article mainly focuses on the droplet flow, through analyzing the movement of the centroids, quantitatively analyzing the effect of variety of parameters on the changes of the frequency and amplitude for the droplet in the oscillation stage.
